On the internet, eveyone will be famous for one second...

One blog created 'every second'
The blogosphere is continuing to grow, with a weblog created every second, according to blog trackers Technorati.

In its latest State of the Blogosphere report, it said the number of blogs it was tracking now stood at more than 14.2m blogs, up from 7.8m in March.

It suggests, on average, the number of blogs is doubling every five months.

The real questions, which Tecnorati ignores are how many of these sites are angsty teen diaries (which was the original use for this medium) and what percentage of the posts put up by these millions of blogs are about blogging? Ooh, it's a tongue twister,

"How many blogs could a web logger blog
if a web logger could blog blogs."

Say it four times fast.

Or maybe we just need to admit the obvious...that the word 'blog' has become about as meaningful as 'smurf'. Try it out:

"I blogged on down to the blogger store, but they were blogging out of blogging beer. After that, I was so blogged that bloggered up the street blogging. Ah, Gargamel!"
