There are 16 people who want to be director. I don't know anything about the DFL out here, so some observations on the room.
Ford Bell has only one sign. Odd.
El has the table tents on the table, Patty has balloons on each table.
El's got about foot high green trianglar signs (like three signes stapled together). cute, but they are taking up a lot of room in a crowded floor, and are getting thrown into stacks on the side.
I think the pro-El man just threw his support to the pro-Patty woman running for chair. I think he was theone who just asked to pass a unanimous ballot for Nancy (pro-Patty). He was told that he has to wait until there are some results to merit this motion.
Trying to nominate alternates.
It's starting to get that church basement coffee smell in here.
For a frozen floor, everyone sure is moving a lot. People are getting very restless. Brian Melendez is wearing a magenta tie.
Nancy Shoemaker has just gotten the chair unanimously. There is a lot of support. She's the pro-Patty, so we'll see if that means anything. The Pro-El man lost when he said he couldn't guarentee he'd support the 6th CD nominee (he was very upset when Patty entered the race.)
Smartie said he would like to address the body. I don't think he's talking about the floor, so it might be time for a break...we're getting a little punchy.
